If you are like the average college student, you probably don’t have much. How about after you graduate and six months later you have to start paying on your student loans, what then? Try to get some of your college friends involved with you. The reason why I suggest this is because your social life is a big factor while you are in college and if you have some of your friends involved you are not shutting yourself off from them. Plus, with everyone learning the same thing, you will be able to bounce things off of each other and comprehend more of what you are learning.

It is highly recommended that you join an affiliate marketing training program. Find one that is going to teach you, step-by-step, all of the things you need to know. The majority of them do cost money, but if you have your friends involved, everyone can split the cost.

If you have made the decision that you are going to start affiliate marketing, maybe you have even joined a program, whatever you do, DO NOT procrastinate. Stay on task. Set up a schedule and stick to it. It is very easy to say, “ok, I will work on that later”, and then later comes and you never get to it. I cannot stress this point enough. You have to work on something everyday, even if it is only for an hour, but get in the habit of working online everyday. More than likely you are on the computer often throughout the day anyway, so why not make your time online start working for you.

Don’t get discouraged! You may not see results right away, but that is ok. Just like starting any other business, affiliate marketing also takes time. Just keep going and don’t give up.

Make it fun! Don’t think of it as a job. This could actually turn out to be your future business, something that you love doing. Wouldn’t that be something if, after you graduate, you didn’t have to start looking for a job because you are making a really decent income working from your home with affiliate marketing.

As we know the answer to the question, does affiliate marketing work, is a resounding yes. However very few new campaigns see immediate success. That isn’t to say they wont go on and be successful, as lots of them will, the key is consistency and perseverance.
